- "Motherhood and childhood are entitled to special care and assistance" (UDHR - 25.2). "Special protection should be accorded to mothers during a reasonable period before and after childbirth" (ICESCR - 10.2). Mothers' rights include, inter alia, all "responsibilities as parents, irrespective of their marital status in matters relating to their children" (CEDW - 16)
- «La maternité et l'enfance ont droit à une aide et à une assistance spéciales.» (DUDH - 25.2), «Une protection spéciale doit être accordée aux mères pendant une période de temps raisonnable avant et après la naissance des enfants.» (PIDESC - 10.2). Les droits d'une mère incluent tous les droits et responsabilités en tant que parent pour les questions se rapportant aux enfants (CEDF - 16).
