- "The struggle of peoples under colonial and alien domination and racist regimes for the implementation of their right to self-determination and independence is legitimate and in full accordance with the principles of international law." (see UN GA Resolution 3103 (XXVIII) of December 12, 1973) The resolution also affirms that the provisions of 1949 Geneva Conventions regarding the legal status and protection of combatants involved in international armed conflicts should apply to persons engaged in armed struggle against domination
- «La lutte des peuples sous domination coloniale et étrangère et à des régimes racistes pour la réalisation de leur droit à l'autodétermination et à l'indépendance est légitime et entièrement conforme aux principes du droit international.» (voir la résolution 3103 (XXVIII) de l'Assemblée générale des Nations Unies du 12 décembre 1973). La même résolution affirme que les dispositions des Conventions de Genève de 1949 relatives au statut juridique et à la protection des combattants engagés dans les conflits armés internationaux s'appliquent aussi aux personnes engagées dans une lutte armée contre toute domination extérieure ou raciste.
