- "Workers shall enjoy adequate protection against acts of anti-union discrimination in respect of their employment." Anti-union acts include making the employment of a worker subject to the condition that he/she shall not join or will relinquish the membership of a union, or causing the dismissal of a worker for his/her activities as a union member or representative. (ILO Convention No. 98, art. 1)
- «Les travailleurs doivent bénéficier d'une protection adéquate contre tous actes de discrimination tendant à porter atteinte à la liberté syndicale en matière d'emploi.» Il s'agit d'actes ayant pour but de subordonner l'emploi d'un travailleur à la condition qu'il ne s'affilie pas à un syndicat ou cesse de faire partie d'un syndicat ; ou de congédier un travailleur en raison de son affiliation syndicale ou de ses activités en tant que représentant syndical. (Convention NO. 98 de l'OIT, art. 1).
