- Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be entitled "...to have adequate time and facilities for the preparation of his defence and to communicate with counsel of his own choosing; (ICCPR - 14.3(b)); also "...to defend himself in person or through legal assistance of his own choosing;" (ICPPR - 14.3(d))
- Toute personne accusée d'une infraction pénale a droit aux garanties «. à disposer du temps et des facilités nécessaires à la préparation de sa défense et à communiquer avec le conseil de son choix ;» (PIDCP - 14.3 (b)) ; et «. à se défendre elle-même o? à avoir l'assistance d'un défenseur de son choix ;» (PIDCP - 14.3 (d)).
