This file consists of an oral history interview with Hélène (Sioui) Trudel, and associated documents. The interview was conducted by Isabelle Masson on December 13, 2011.

Ms. (Sioui) Trudel speaks about:
• Her childhood and experiences being raised by an Indigenous mother and non-Indigenous father in Montréal.
• Her legal training, education and working with her husband at the Fondation du Dr Julien and writing a book with him.
• Working on Indigenous women’s issues at the Assembly of First Nations of Quebec and Labrador.
• The concept of the circle in Indigenous communities, how the circle is used with vulnerable people in her work and the alliance of law and medicine.
• Her work with vulnerable people, and her focus on children and social pediatrics.
