This file consists of an oral history interview with Régine Frankel, and associated documents. The interview was conducted by Clint Curle on September 2, 2011.
Ms. Frankel speaks about:
• Her childhood and her family’s experiences as Jews in France as World War II began.
• Her and her family’s experiences with anti-Semitism and having to hide from the Nazis after they were forcibly relocated to a rural area near Tulle, France.
• Their experiences with liberation and returning to their home after the war, and her subsequent move to Montréal and then Winnipeg.
• Anti-Semitism in Canada and France today.
